May the angels be with you #QZ8501

I'm setting aside my food blog for a few months for the families and their love ones whom suffered from the Air Asia latest disaster that happened in the late December 2014.

Even if this post is too late, but its the sincerity that matters. Indonesia suffered a great lost of having their family members up onboard the AirAsia aircraft Airbus A320. On board QZ8501, majority of the passengers were Indonesians and a few of other nationalities.

Indonesia's authorities has recovered more than 20 of the victims on that plane and hopefully, to be able to find the location of the missing black box which will uncover the truth behind the aircraft that hits into the Java Sea.

May the angels be with them, blessing their families and watching over them. Victims of #QZ8501, you are now the angels in heavens. God bless you all and your families.

Let's all pray for them. Hashtag your blessings with #prayforQZ8501 on Facebook and twitter. All of your blessing means so much to them.

If you are a residents or if you're a tourist visiting Singapore, Changi Airport Group has set up a board at Changi Airport Terminal 2 (level 3), behind Ananda Bhavan Restaurant (and the walkway to the carpark) for everyone to write their blessings on a Post-it Pad to paste on the purple coloured standee.

Some airport staff been seen writing their blessings for the families and victims of QZ8501
and some left flowers at the standee. As I am also part of the airport staff, I myself would not missed writing
my blessings on the post-it pad as well

SWEET TOOTH CRAVINGS!

Today's read is all about satisfying our sweet cravings! What do you crave most for when it comes to sweet pastries. Me? Definitely would be mini cakes and cookies!

Few days ago, I visited Anna Sweettooth shop to collect my pre-order for Rainbow cookies (50pcs)
and I bought another 2 mini box of rainbow cookies and mini cake jar. Bought it home and ate it immediately because I couldn't control my glutton mouth! HAHA! Sounds like I only eat all day long but when it comes to pastry, I will consider the freshness, the taste, flavour and most importantly, THE PRICE and Anna Sweettooth has it all!

On the left is the mini cake jar that I purchase from Anna Sweettooth; Oreo Vanilla cake. I can't say that it is a 5 star bakes or anything but, it is really good. I actually purchase a on-the-go cup (Red Velvet and Salted Caramel) before from another bakery it taste good but its much expensive that what Anna Sweettooth has to offer and I save about $4 when I decided to buy from her.

This bakery interior is simple and you will have a 180 degree view of the shop the moment you stepped in. A lot of customers have gave great reviews about her bakes. All her creation can be view via her Instagram.

Anna Sweettooth creations can be viewed via facebook and  follow her on instagram to get more updates on what is available at the bakery. Download "THE GLUTTON DAILY" read.

Still miss the traditional Biscuits you had when you are young and couldn't find it anymore in any of the provision shop near you? Look no more further than what Biscuit King had installed for you! I was at Ming Chu Che Lao Ban for late dinner and I happen to walk-by the shop. So after the dinner, I decided to walk in to take a look to my expectation, it's a SNACK HEAVEN! They have over 100 snacks for you to choose!

You will know how famous the shop is when you visit there by the door, which is full of media articles and polaroids of celebrities with the owner of Biscuit King.

Biscuit King is full of childhood memories. Remember when was the last time you the "Ice-gem biscuit"? Remember when was the last time you play the old-fashioned games cards like Snap!, Donkey and Happy Family? Of course our childhood favourite bubble thing that smells like gum? I definitely miss those toys even now. If you would want to buy those biscuits in tin, you may purchase them from $28.00 onwards.

Intent to purchase them in bulk? You may do so by going to their websites to order it. There might be deposits you may need to pay before the delivery. Find out more from Biscuit King at www.biscuitking.com.sg

Ming Chu Che Lao Ban Seafood Restaurant (Non-Halal)

Address:

134A Casuarina Rd
Singapore 579522

Yesterday I went to this Zi Char (Seafood Restaurant) for dinner with my mom and her friends. We were welcomed by the friendly staff. Not to forget the boss, he's friendly and likes to interact with his customers. I definitely love the food especially the Fish steamboat. They will serve you the steamboat first without the meat first to have your soup heated while the staff debone your fish which I also hate to debone the fish myself. So it's thoughtful that the staff debone the fish for you to enjoy your meal.

Another thing we ordered was the Prawn Paste Chicken and Oatmeal Prawn. Simply SEDAP!!! (delicious in malay). It might be expensive but it's really worth to try. We didn't order much only 4 of us were eating. You should give it a try when you are in the area for lunch/dinner/supper.

My ratings for Ming Chu Che Lao Ban Seafood Restaurant:

Experience: 6/10
Hospitality: 7.5/10
Price: 4.5/10
Customer Service: 7/10

My FoodPocket new banner!

Finally I had come up with a banner for this food blog! May not be the perfect banner but I appreciate my hand-drawn art piece. I'm not only just a food blogger, but I'm a part-time doodler. My Signature doodles is this Pig (but somehow look like a mouse because of the ears). I have quite a lot of doodles of this pig but won't be showing all of it in 1 post. :)

Brunch at Ipoh Lao Yao Bean Sprout Chicken (Non-Halal)

Recently, I went to this outlet at Bishan Junction 8 (Singapore) for brunch. Purposely skipped my breakfast for this as I always pass by the shop, its always full- house. So I thought I should give it the try from what I see.

So me and my mom visited this Outlet in Bishan (as stated above) to have our brunch. When we arrived there. first, the area is so cramped where I sit. My mom have no peace in enjoying her meal as the staff and other customer kept asking my mom to make way. For goodness sake! We initially was sitting outside and they ask us to sit inside than kept interrupting our meal!

I always like to have a decent and quiet meal without interruption and yet by asking my mom to make way continuously to get your items, why don't you take what you want in a go rather than disturbing your customer having a decent meal?!

When the food comes, I was excited to get my first bite on the food served. But before I could eat it, My mom showed me the bill which was shocking $31.90! What we ate was just half-chicken, 1 plate of Thai-style Chicken Feet and 2 bowls of rice. Would you pay for a plate of Thai-style chicken feet that cost $6.00 yet you can only like have about 4 or 5 pieces? Too me that's expensive for a place in a Neighbourhood Shopping Centre but if it would be like in places like VivoCity, SUNTEC City or maybe hotel, I wouldn't say much.

The rice taste okay but it's not sticky enough and it's abit too dry. Maybe they can add more ingredient to boost up the fragrance of the rice. I don't know other dishes they selling taste better or not, but from what I see when I was dining, only about 2 tables (including the our table) ordered the main product which is the Chicken Rice of course. All the other tables seems to be ordering Fishball Soup and other product which I can really remember every single one of it. Maybe if you pass-by the stall and would like to give it a try (if you want to), maybe try to order individual set meal for the chicken rice before ordering Ala Carte or you could try other food they are also selling.

I don' know if there how many outlets do Ipoh Lao Yao Beans Sprout Chicken has but different people have different taste-bud so maybe you can give it a try? :)

My ratings for Ipoh Lao Yao Beans Sprout Chicken:

Experience: 3/10
Food: 5/10
Customer Service: 4/10
Price: 3/10
